Spectator Fee: $5 [free admission 12 & Under]

About this event:

This event is to remember the individuals who lost their lives solely because of the color of their skin. May 14th, 2022 will forever be in our hearts and it is up to us to do something about it.  Because racism is taught, our goal is to lead by example through unity, love and support for the African American community of Buffalo, NY.

Participants will perform one exercise (Push-up, Pull-up or Squat) for repetitions of 10, 20 or 30 based on their donation amount. 

*For example, $50 donation = Attempt 1 - 30 reps, Attempt 2 - 20 reps.  $50= 50 reps total.

A minimum donation of $30 is required to participate.

All participants will receive a complimentary We Lift Buffalo T-Shirt

Details:

Event 1

“Push-ups”

• Performed at a 50 BPM Cadence until failure
• Participant should pause at the top locking out the arms and at the bottom without relaxing the chest on the ground
• Modified Push-ups are acceptable (Knees on ground) for this event

Event 2

“Pull-ups”

• Performed at a 50 BPM Cadence until failure
• Participant should pause at the top with the chin at or above the bar and at the bottom with arms fully extended
• Participants may use any grip for this event

Event 3

“Squats”

• Performed with hips and knees parallel to the ground
• Participant should fully extend the hips after each squat
• Participant may go below parallel or use a box to ensure proper depth

Participants must be at least 18 years old and have a signed waiver.

EVERYONE must purchase a ticket.  Spectator tickets will be available to purchase.
